We were really secluded. It was a beautiful campsite.

We went on a hike and crossed a bridge over the Weber River.

The river was really raging and over-flowing its banks. It was as loud as a freight train!

The next day we drove to Mirror Lake. It was frozen.

The snow blocked the road to drive down to Mirror Lake.

The snow was high!

Back at the campsite, Kevin enjoyed fishing at Smith & Moorehouse Lake.

He also enjoyed taking pictures of wildflowers.

Meanwhile, Kevin had brought up 3 huge laundry baskets of old newspapers for Renae to read.

Nothing like reading the thrills and chills of old newspapers!

After spending two nights, we packed up and came home. A good time was had by all!

Trevor:
Is it Christmas? (Looking at the frozen lake) Wow! That snow is taller than Grandma!
Its as loud as a train??
Adam:
Why were trailers not allowed down that road?
Could you stand on the frozen lake?
Was the ice frozen like a wall?
Whoa! I would like to go there and and dig dig dig...
Wow those are pretty flowers!
Celina: Is that grandpa?
Is that Grandma?
Is that snow?
Is that water?
Is that Grandpa?
Is that Grandma?
Trevor: Yes, the rushing water in the river was as loud as a train going by! Grandpa and Grandma had to talk very loud so they could hear each other talk!
Adam: Trailers were not allowed down that road because there was no place to turn around. Grandpa had to back up the tent trailer around a corner then down a long road. People who would usually camp at this spot would bring tents, not trailers, so they didn't have to back up.
We couldn't get down to frozen mirror lake because the road was blocked with snow. But looking down on the lake we could see marks that looked like people had snowmobiled on the frozen lake! So, yes, you could walk on the frozen lake.
That wasn't a picture of the ice frozen like a wall, it was a picture of how deep the snow was. It looked like a wall because it had been plowed by snowplows going by on the road. But the road going down to mirror lake was still blocked because there was too much snow there.
I thought they were pretty flower pictures too. Grandpa took lots of pictures and I just picked those to show you. When he looked at the pictures, he thought I should have picked different flower pictures to show you! :)
Celina: YES! That's Grandpa and grandma. We can't wait for you to come to our house.
Jamie: Yes! It was very cold at night. As soon as the sun went down it suddenly was freezing.
