Renae inspired me to share some of our recent pics... For every anniversary we always get pictures taken. This year I waned to go to Antelope Island... and i think we got some good ones...
On June 19 we went camping at Smith & Moorehouse lake. The campground was full except the campground host said that if we could back-up the tent trailer down a long road that said "no trailers allowed", we could camp there. Kevin did a good job!! We were really secluded. It was a beautiful campsite. We went on a hike and crossed a bridge over the Weber River.
The river was really raging and over-flowing its banks. It was as loud as a freight train!
The next day we drove to Mirror Lake. It was frozen.
The snow blocked the road to drive down to Mirror Lake.
The snow was high!
Back at the campsite, Kevin enjoyed fishing at Smith & Moorehouse Lake.
He also enjoyed taking pictures of wildflowers.
Meanwhile, Kevin had brought up 3 huge laundry baskets of old newspapers for Renae to read. Nothing like reading the thrills and chills of old newspapers! After spending two nights, we packed up and came home. A good time was had by all!
Usually on Memorial Day our flowers have already bloomed and wilted. This year was really different. Because it was such a cold spring, none of our flowers had even started blooming on Memorial Day.
About a week later they started blooming ... and I think they were the prettiest flowers we have ever had.
