Kevin & Renae camping
On June 19 we went camping at Smith & Moorehouse lake. The campground was full except the campground host said that if we could back-up the tent trailer down a long road that said "no trailers allowed", we could camp there. Kevin did a good job!!

We were really secluded. It was a beautiful campsite.

We went on a hike and crossed a bridge over the Weber River.

The river was really raging and over-flowing its banks. It was as loud as a freight train!

The next day we drove to Mirror Lake. It was frozen.

The snow blocked the road to drive down to Mirror Lake.

The snow was high!

Back at the campsite, Kevin enjoyed fishing at Smith & Moorehouse Lake.
He also enjoyed taking pictures of wildflowers.

Meanwhile, Kevin had brought up 3 huge laundry baskets of old newspapers for Renae to read.

Nothing like reading the thrills and chills of old newspapers!

After spending two nights, we packed up and came home. A good time was had by all!

Flowers after Memorial Day
Usually on Memorial Day our flowers have already bloomed and wilted. This year was really different. Because it was such a cold spring, none of our flowers had even started blooming on Memorial Day.
About a week later they started blooming ... and I think they were the prettiest flowers we have ever had.

President Hinckley
All you all know that he's in heaven loving life I was curious to see what everyone will say to this... what will you remember the most about our beloved prohpet?
Me... His voice, I think that i will have his soft gentle voice in my head for years to come... also the temples. What an amazing accomplishment to double the amount of temples in such a short period of time...

How's school going for Jamie?
Do you all know that Jamie has gone back to school to finish her degree at LDS Business College in Salt Lake? I think we would all like to know how school is going for her. Jamie ... How are your classes? How is it leaving Beckham? How is the commute? How is homework?

Curly hair!
One of the great things about having church at 11 instead of 9 is that we have time to get ready in the morning. This morning I decided to try to curl Celina's straight-as-a-board hair. I used a little curling iron and it turned out cute! The best part was that after church the curls were still there!!

GIRL!
This deserves it's own post! I'm so excited for you Caron! (and Greg, derek, tyler) can't wait to see the little cutie!
Am I smart enough to do this?
Brenda told me that I could do this ... so here goes! She had to explain to me that Jamie's cute stuff was not on the Johnsen Family Tree ... but on a separate blog site. Wow, I am learning so much!! Thanks for putting this together Jamie! For your information, Kevin left for China this morning!!!

Can I post?
Wow. This is so exciting. I have never posted before....can I do it? We shall see. What is something profound to say to the members of the Johnsen Family Tree.....Tonight at dinner Celina prayed that in the morning we would be able to go to Grandma's house "so we could talk to her" and that we would be able to see "Johnsen". She sure loves her Grandparents.
